Somethings wrong here..

This was my first year planting carrots, and we sure got some strange ones! We even had one that weighed 1 lb 6oz! Anyone who knows how I can grow even a bit more normal carrot next year please let me know! I transplanted many of them after the root started to grow, and am wondering if that contributed. They were fun for the children to pick, and eat, however because it was always a surprise to see what we would get!
