The Upper Peninsula; Pictured Rocks

This summer some friends and we traveled to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for a week. It was my first time north of the Mackinac Bridge! Our first stop (beside BC Pizza, Biggby, and numerous other facilities with potties...) was Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising. We camped at a very nice, quiet National Forest campground nearby. One of the largest attractions at Pictured Rocks is an almost 3-hour long boat trip to see the rock formations. The only other way to really see them is by hiking in to secluded beach areas, or kayaking (which we did not do having many small children in tow!) Below is a picture driving over the Mackinac Bridge, a couple pictures from the boat trip, a few pictures hiking around the area, and some shots at the campsite:-)
